About

Frank Levine was born in England during the second world war. He attended Saint Martin’s School of Art in the late 1950’s and had a career as a designer in the thriving London fashion industry. His fashion designs have been featured in boutiques and national stores in the UK. Although he changed career, painting and fashion have remained an ongoing interest and he has produced a wide variety of quasi-impressionistic work over the past four decades, primarily acrylics on canvas. In 2006 he began experimenting with geometrical imagery and it is now included in most of his paintings. His paintings are influenced by early 20th century modernists such as Klimt and Mondrian and merge impressionistic imagery with geometrical abstraction. His paintings have been exhibited at various locations on the Sunshine Coast BC and the Vancouver Lower Mainland.
